We design and install landscapes for homes in Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, Helotes and the northwest side of San Antonio. Lawns, drainage, sprinklers, lighting, stone and planting. We have been doing it since January 2019 out of an office on IH-10 at Scenic Loop Road, about 8 minutes from downtown Boerne and a straight run down the highway into the city.
Two things shape almost every job we do here, and they are worth saying on the front page instead of burying them.
The first is the ground. North and west of San Antonio you are working over limestone and caliche with a thin layer of soil on top, running alkaline at a pH of roughly 7.5 to 8.2. Rock at 6 inches is normal. Water does not soak in, it runs, and it arrives wherever the grade sends it. Half of what people call a plant problem out here is a soil problem, and a good share of what people call a soil problem is a drainage problem.
The second is water. SAWS and the City of Boerne both restrict landscape watering to one day a week in the stages they have been sitting in, with fines behind the rules. A landscape designed as if you can water three days a week is a landscape that will look bad by August. We design and program to the rules that actually apply at your address.

Irrigation in Texas is regulated by the TCEQ. Elijah Washington holds license LI0029636, and he is the one who checks coverage over your new lawn, sets your controller for your utility schedule, and signs off on repairs. A lot of sprinkler work sold in this market is done by people who are not licensed to do it.
Our office is in Boerne. Crews run into San Antonio daily, but Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch and Helotes are our home market, and coming back to look at a job is a short drive rather than a scheduling problem.
We do not install Bermuda in shady yards, because it fails. We will not lay sod over a yard that ponds until the drainage is fixed, because you would be paying us twice. We will talk you out of plants that deer eat and out of grass in areas with under 4 hours of sun. If the honest answer is a smaller job than the one you called about, that is the answer you will get.

Someone stands in the yard, checks the grade and where water goes, cuts a test hole if soil is in question, and looks at your irrigation. No salesperson, no charge.
For design work, a plan you can see. For a defined job like sod or a drain, a written scope and a number. If your budget is fixed, tell us up front and we will build to it instead of over it.
Crews of three to five for most residential work. Most lawns are a two day job. Larger installs and hardscape run longer, and you will know which before we start.
We walk the finished job with you, set the controller for your watering day and stage, and hand you a written schedule for the first five weeks. Then we check back.
Nobody publishes numbers, so here is a rough orientation. These are typical ranges we see, not quotes, and every yard prices off access, square footage and what has to come out first.
Sod, fully replaced with grade correction and imported soil, generally runs about $1.75 to $4.00 per square foot, and about $1.00 to $2.00 per square foot when the ground is already prepared. Artificial turf is a larger number per square foot than sod and a smaller number than sod plus twenty years of water. A French drain is priced by the foot and by whether the trench goes through dirt or through limestone, which is the single biggest variable on a Hill Country lot. Landscape lighting is priced per fixture plus the transformer. Retaining walls price by face area and by whether the wall crosses the engineering threshold, which in most jurisdictions here is 4 feet.
Each service page carries its own range and the factors that move it. If you have a fixed budget, say the number on the first call. We would rather size the job to it than hand you a proposal you have to cut in half.
